Child Of The King

I lay at night, in silent prayer
Sometimes my spirit is light as the air.
Then I look back and my nerves get tight
But I'm a child of the king and it will be alright.
I remember the heartaches, trouble and pain.
Things are done that were really a shame.
So I fall to my knees in prayer each night
I'm a child of the king and it will be alright.
Sometimes I get down and I start to whine
Then I remember this great friend of mine.
Who comforts me when I feel this fright
I'm a child of the king and it will be alright.
He's my hope, my Shepard, my day and night
But sometimes he seems so far out of sight.
Then I just remember, and the future looks bright
Cause I'm a child of the King and it will be alright.
He hears my cries, He sees my tears
He's been here always, through all these years.
Spent most of my life putting up a great fight
But praise my God Now! I'm a child of the King and It's alright.
