She always was a pretty child, but stubborn as could be.
A mother-daughter relationship, she refused to see.
But I loved her all along and hoped someday we'd share

As she got older, she got bolder, trouble seemed to be
her middle name.
Then one day she called me mama, the time we'd lost was such a shame.
She became a married lady, the change in her was plain
to see.
She gave birth to a beautiful baby, and made a grand-ma out of me.
