A Very Special Friend

When God made you He made a gem.
A very special man.
He knew that one day we would meet.
It's all part of His plan. 

He looked into the future,
And saw me kneeling there.
Then He decided to make you,
In answer to my prayer.

He felt such compassion,
When He saw my tears that day.
He knows what it's like to be lonely,
So He sent you my way. 

I'm so thankful for you,
For the friendship that we share,
It's just another of His ways
To show us that He cares.
