If you
read in His word, what the angel did say
It isn't hard to figure out, the meaning of Christmas Day.
First he said fear not, we don't have to be afraid
Because our Savior was born, and in a manger did lay.
Good
tidings means of course, Good news!
Eternity in hell, is all we have to lose.
Instead of sorrow there is great joy
For every man, woman, girl and boy.
For unto
you... that's you and me
He was born and died, and hung on a tree.
The meaning of Christmas then becomes plain
To save the world, is why Jesus came.
He was
born to die, Salvation to bring
Glory to God in the highest, The angels did sing.
Peace on earth, Good will to all men
I'll sing praises to Him, again and again.
So
Christmas to me means I'm no longer enslaved
Because Jesus was born, I can be saved.
I can be unafraid, and experience great joy
And then one day, live with Him in Glory!

Luke 2:10.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good
tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour,
which is Christ the Lord.
12. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in
swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly
host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest and on earth
peace, good will toward men. |
