Celebrate The King

As we celebrate Christmas, the carols we sing
It reminds me of a long ago king
When the journey was made, the new born Christ to see.
They had no idea what today's Christmas would be.

The old time carols I love to sing
About the babe in a manger, the newborn king
I'll tell the story to anyone who will hear
How the angels on that night, came so near.

I love this time, when we celebrate the king
And praises to his most holy name we sing.
Joy to the world, silent night and the first noel
To anyone who will listen, the story I will tell.

I wonder what it was like that first Christmas morn
When Mary and Joseph were expecting the child to be born
I wonder how she felt when she gave birth
The  mother of our Lord, right here on this earth.

I'll tell the story in song, I'll sing of his wonderful love
I'll live my life  in preparation To live with Him above.
My first Christmas in Heaven,  When I look upon His face
I'll thank Him, For on Calvary, taking my place.

Because of Calvary, Salvation He would give
When He gave his life so I could live
