True Friend

I've often thought I had a true friend
But when the going got rough, that friendship would end.


A true friend, can be far or near
But when you need them, They prove to be dear.

When my heart was breaking and my "friends" were not there
You got on a plane, to show me you care.

With this little poem, I want to show
My appreciation and let you know

I thank God for a friend who is true
Who loves me for who I am, and not for what I do.
