Little Country Church

I remember as a child, in a peaceful little town
A little country church, where Jesus I first found.

I was only ten and didn't know much about right living
I knew nothing about the love that God was giving.

But I heard the preacher saying, He loved you enough to die
Won't you give your heart to Him? I remember that I cried.

I wondered why He'd die for me, I wondered why He would.
I was just a little kid and didn't think I was that good.

How could a king love little me, who had never done anything great
But I knew I wanted Him in my life, and I just couldn't wait.

I heard the preacher saying, won't you  come now and pray?
I went to the altar and gave Jesus my heart that day.
